Career Advancement Scholarship

Foothill Credit Union scholarships support the important work of educators and healthcare professionals in California each year.

What You Need to Know About the Scholarship

Every year, Foothill Credit Union awards $6,000 in scholarships to members seeking to pursue or advance a career in the education or medical field. Here's what you need to know about applying for our scholarships:

  • There are two scholarships worth $3,000 each, one for the healthcare field and the other for the educational field.
  • Applications are accepted from August through October.
  • Each applicant must have a Foothill Credit Union account in his/her name.
  • If you are not a member, you may open an account and become eligible to apply. Join Us.
  • Applicants must be members for at least three months to become eligible for the award.
  • Submission deadline was Friday, October 17, 2025. No longer taking submissions.
  • Chosen recipients will be notified by Friday, October 31, 2025

 

What does the credit union scholarship application consist of?

  1. Short answer questions of 150 words or less.
  2. Letter of support from a supervisor or professional colleague typed on company letterhead.
  3. Activities and recognition.
  4. Document showing information about the certificate, accreditation, or training you plan to achieve.
